God Bless Walter
Many of our clients know-some do not...A year ago we found out that Walter had an aortic aneurysm. He was born with a bi-cuspid heart valve which doctors believed caused this. It has been a very hard year-closely monitoring his health knowing that surgery was inevitable-just not knowing when. He was not given any restrictions for work-other than no heavy lifting. Amazingly he carefully carried on with his work creating the most beautiful pieces. After a few weeks of "not feeling right" the doctors decided it was time. On Monday November 7th Walter under went an aortic root replacement valve sparing open heart suregery. It was, by far, the longest day of his loved ones lives. Walter was blessed with a successful operation! Our faith carried us through this difficult time with the amazing support of our families, friends, and many of our clients. Walter is home recovering, and we continue to pray for a full, successful healing process. As many of you do know him-yes-he cannot sit still! ;-) As he anxiously awaits the end of his 2 month recovery period-he insists on keeping busy-and has accepted many painting commissions to keep him working through his recovery. Thank you all for you prayers and well wishes-they have been answered!!! Thank you also deeply to Walter's cardiologist-Dr. Owens and his surgeon Dr. Xydas and the rest of the gang at Morristown Hospital. You are a phenomenol team! Walter is in good hands!
Introducing the "Amazing Walter"
As I updated our custom work for the month of September I was reminded how hard my husband works! Yes, all of these pieces were sculpted in the month of September-there are even a few (very significant in size as well) that have not been added yet. If you dont already know, he does his work start to finish by himself with his own two hands-and a few tools! Your amazing Walter, and thank you for working so hard for our family-I love you! 8-)
Update on detour to our entrance
Unfortunately there has been no progress on the construction to the bridge leading to our entrance. We have spoken to the DPW and were unable to get any "definites"- understandably so due to the extensive damage our town suffered from the hurricane. We will continue to post updates as we receive them.
Hurricane Irene
We hope everyone faired as well as possible with Hurrican Irene. Unfortunately the Gallery suffered a generous amount of damage. We are safe and very happy about that! If you are planning to visit us the bridge is out right before our entrance, parts of it were literally washed away in the storm. You can enter our parking lot by driving past us going north on 206 and turning left at the traffic light on to Old Union Turnpike. Follow this road all the way to the end (you may drive through the "road closed" barrier as you come around the bend). This will lead you to our entrance which is on the left-right before the construction cones for the damaged bridge. We will continue to post updates on the status of the bridge construction-thank you!
New Work Uploaded!
We've posted pictures of new work completed under the "In Progress" tab located in "Works of Art" section of the website. As the website is continually updated, the newest projects will be posted in this section as older ones will be moved in our portfolios under our names. (Under "Works of Art" then "Walter Sansone" or "Carolyn Sansone") So when you come back to visit with your friends, dont worry-things have not dissapeared, they've simply moved to make room for the new! ;-)
Happy 10 years to Gallery Works!!!!!
We're happy to announce that we're 10 years old as of 8/11/11!!!! Yay! Thank you very much to all our loyal customers who have supported us through the years along with our family and friends. "Have a Hoot" has now opened in Milford, PA. Congratulations to Al and Dawn! Check out the photos in our "In Progress" section-and if you're in the area, check the work out in person!
